Course objectives:
- Learn about the three most popular digital impression systems on the market (CEREC Omnicam, 3Shape Trios III, and Planmeca Emerald) from MUSC dental faculty who use and teach these systems every day
- Use each of these scanners to image intraorally (because anyone can scan a typodont)
- See the workflow of scan and send to the lab versus scan and mill in-office (CAD/CAM)
- Learn the pros and cons of each system to help determine the best fit for your practice
- Discuss the different procedures that this technology can help you complete more efficiently

Dr. Wally Renne is the assistant dean for technology and digital dentistry at MUSC. He has been using and teaching digital dentistry since 2009 and is responsible for developing the digital curriculum at MUSC that has since been replicated by many dental schools across the country.

Dr. Mark Ludlow is the division director for implantology at MUSC. He has been using and teaching digital dentistry since 2009 and has lectured extensively on the integration of digital dentistry into the implant workflow..

Dr. Anthony Mennito is the division director for digital dentistry at MUSC. He has been using and teaching digital dentistry since 2010 and has lectured extensively on single visit CAD/CAM dentistry and intraoral scanning.
